Permanent Eyeliner Pre-care Instructions:
4 Weeks Prior:
- Discontinue serums for eyelash growth, such as Latisse.
- Avoid Botox or fillers near the eyes.
- Skip Glycolic acid, chemical peels, and laser treatments on the face.
- Discontinue Vitamin A/Retinols and anti-aging creams.
2 Weeks Prior:
- Avoid eye facials, peels, and waxing.
- Minimize sun exposure on the face.
1 Week Prior:
- Avoid Motrin, Advil, Ibuprofen, Naproxen.
- Steer clear of fish oils, DHA supplements, cayenne supplements, turmeric, vitamin E, niacin (or anything causing blood thinning).
- Refrain from marijuana and smoking.
- Any lash extensions must be removed.
- Consult a physician if using the above medications for medical reasons.
1-3 Days Prior:
- Avoid alcohol, coffee, tea, or excessive caffeine consumption.
Day of Procedure:
- Avoid strenuous exercise on the treatment day.
- Avoid wearing mascara.
- Ensure your eyes are makeup and moisturizer-free.
- If you wear eyeglasses, bring them to your appointment.
- Remove contact lenses before the procedure.
- Arrive 30 minutes early for numbing and paperwork.
Permanent Eyeliner Aftercare Instructions:
- No contact lenses for 10 days.
- No mascara until outer healing is complete; no makeup for 10 days.
- Avoid saline eye drops.
- Eyes sensitive to allergens; keep clean.
- Avoid heavy cleaning, airborne debris (open air vehicles).
- No eyelash curlers for 2 weeks; clean with alcohol.
- No eyelash extensions for 2 weeks.
- Avoid Retin-A, Glycolic Acids, Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) near eyes for optimal healing.
- Avoid sun exposure, pools, saunas, steamy environments, and sweating on the face.
- Avoid drinking excess alcohol, as it may lead to slow healing of wounds.
Day 1:
- After the eyeliner tattoo, expect redness and puffiness for 1-3 days.
- Use wet wipes to clean lymphatic fluid. Wash eyes with warm water, air dry, and apply provided ointment or grapeseed oil.
- Reduce swelling with a cool compress. Sleep slightly elevated with a fresh pillowcase. Avoid sleeping on your face for 10 days.
Day 2:
- Pigment may darken; it's normal. Keep the area clean by blotting or gently washing with warm water.
- No rubbing; only dabbing. Pat with tissue or towel. Apply a thin layer of ointment.
Day 3-7:
- Avoid washing eyes; crust and scabbing will occur. Itching is normal; apply a thin layer of ointment.
- Don't pick, peel, or scratch. Let scabs fall naturally. Do not rub off.
Day 10-14:
- Skin is healed but thin. Scabbing fades. Itching stops, pigment lightens.
- Avoid cosmetic procedures, dyeing eyelashes, saunas, or swimming pools.
- Do not use mascara for the first 10 days. Use a fresh tube when you resume using mascara.
Week 2:
- Pigment settles; colour may change. Gaps may appear, corrected at touchup after 4-8 weeks.
- Limit showers to 5 mins, keeping the face dry until the end. Avoid excessive rinsing and hot water.
Week 6-8:
- Colour stabilizes, gentle natural fading may occur as the skin adjusts.
- Any residual swelling, redness, or discomfort from the initial procedure should have subsided.
- A second session is strongly recommended for complete transformation.
